River Hike

Hey y'all! You're invited to join me for a lovely morning trek on the Downstream and Twin Falls Trails along the Caney Fork river.

Located in Rock Island State Park, the trail is nearly 2 miles and alternates between dirt and rocky pathing. Offering many scenic views of Caney River, the sandy shoreline, waterfalls, and the gorge, the trail is fairly easy and has a nice elevation gain of 206 feet. Be sure to wear appropriate footwear, as the rocky parts of the trail may be muddy as well depending on rainfall!

While the trail usually takes around 45 minutes, we will take our time and break along the way if necessary. Plans can be discussed for a group lunch following the hike if there is interest.
